Claimed to be from Sky. Knew my name and the fact that I’d recently received a new mobile phone on contract with them. Asked how I was getting on with phone then starting waffling about Sky VIP and mobile data piggy bank before abruptly switching to try to sell me insurance for all our devices, Sky boxes etc. Immediately hung up when I said no thanks (without a word of okay, goodbye, farewell, etc.). Very suspicious. |

English Female caller asking how my Sky installation has been. Knew my name, the date of installation, my email, address and asking me for my password. I said I didn’t know it. I asked her how I knew it wasn’t a scam. But she had so many details it sounded legitimate. She went on and on about Sky programming and then insurance. Offered me free until July. I said ok every thought I had no intention of taking it up. As soon as she asked for my bank sort code I got suspicious. I told her it is on my account but she said she needs to check as it is separate from my account, she said the last 3 digits of my account number are…But she had the wrong 3 numbers so I hung up. Lucky escape again |

The caller says that they are from “Domestic and General Insurance acting on behalf of Sky” - why is Sky allowing this company to try and sell insurance to Sky customers and why on earth is Sky giving these companies our personal data? Is it just our ‘phone numbers Sky has handed over to Domestic and General or have they handed over ALL our personal data! |

Phoned on my mobile by this number yet again. I have told them in the past I am not interested and to remove my number from their files. 2 things I have now decided. 1. when my present contract with Sky is finished, I will never consider another contract with them. 2. Domestic and General will never have my trust as they insist on harassing people despite being requested not to do so. |

Not a scam. It is Sky, but they are trying to flog you insuranc, that to me is annoying as I have in the past asked them to stop calling me as I am not interested in their insurance. So legitimate but still annoying. |
