If you wonder why the police or our government do nothing about these scams perhaps no one bothers to tell them. Have you reported the scam? Scam reporting systems are in place. Posts 17/18 below explains how to access the systems. Unless everyone who gets these calls & texts takes responsibility and reports them, nothing will happen to stop these criminal gangs. Itâs estimated that a tiny fraction of 1% of scam attempts get reported to the police. As these foreign based scammers use millions of computer-generated fake mobile numbers and spoofed genuine or fake UK landline numbers, blocking wonât work. They just call back from different numbers. These fake numbers are often an innocent personâs real number or it could be a Wangiri scam so best not to call back unknown numbers. |

These people are truly despicable individuals. As the people have commented in the comments below, it is extremely important to report every scam call you receive. There are too many vulnerable people losing everything they have daily. These are international crime syndicates and the criminals involved live extremely lavish lifestyles, so donât let this continue while the majority of us are struggling financially, even to sustain a very basic lifestyle. SCAMMERS pretending to be from various companies and industryâs including the following: Crypto Currency/ Block Chain Scams, Energy Company deal Scams, Virgin Media Deal Scams, Amazon Prime Subscription Scams, Apple Subscription Scams, Compensation Claim Scams etc etc. Be suspicious of anyone calling or texting you randomly out of the blue offering deals or Compensation, asking you to confirm banking/ bank card information, continually harassing or forcing you to make a payment etc as sales people from real companies will never ask this of you. If you are getting harassed by these scammerâs itâs important to REPORT every scam attempt to all the relevant authorities such as the Police, Phone Service Provider, Cyber Security Centre UK, Ofcom UK, Action Fraud and contact your local MP. |

Asian female voice rang my unlisted landline claiming to be from bt, lots of background noise - told her it was a bad line and put the phone down. She didn't ring back. Clearly not genuine bt call. |

A woman stating she was from BT about my broadband. She disconnected after I put the phone down whilst I check out the number here. She rang back again insisting she was genuine and said she would send a code (not sure to where) to prove she was genuine. Definitely not to be trusted and harassing in tone when I said she was a scammer. Also pointed out the number she rang is registered under TPS so she should not be calling it anyway ! |

Silent on answer. Used landline number, which is given to noone for daily use so suspicion is it's a harassing scam as these calls have only appeared since line was transferred to Virgin media. |

Called @ 7.32am said his name was Andrew from Microsoft. I hung up told him I couldnât hear him. I treat all calls as scams if I have not requested anything. Sad but true, this is the kind of world we are now living in. |

Alfred Douglas (probably not real name) calling from Microsoft to inform me my computer is hacked. Fourth time he has called in two days! Very persistent Asian origin not convincing at all. This person and his organisation are hacking systems by changing bios settings to enable control and.steal secure personal information. Your computer will now be corrupted by him and he will demand ÂŁ to repair the damage he has caused. Ignore this evil scammer and report details to Action Fraud. |
