Brief delay before caller saying from Amazon. Said something had been ordered against my account. I asked where to and was told Devon, nowhere near me. Asked me to check the email they had sent, did so and said no. He asked if I'd looked at my computer, my response was maybe. His response was don't mess around, he was from Amazon fraud department and after saying he had to process it hung up. Obviously a scam. |

Said they were calling from Amazon, that someone had tried to buy a £700 Smartphone on my account last night. Asked me to check the email they had sent. When my husband asked who they had sent the email to they said it was him, they could not tell us a name. Obviously a scam |

Claimed to be Amazon Security Team reporting that someone had ordered a smart phone on my account last night. Asked if I had ordered one. I was already suspicious but continued anyway. Said I hadn't. She asked me to check my emails to see if I'd had a confirmation. I asked which email account they had for me. She hung up! |

I knew it was a scammer given the 2-second pause followed by the usual Indian scam tones. I didn't even bother to take the call any further. Put simply, if it's an Indian on the other end it's a scam caller, simple as that. |
