Trouble is, too many people can't be bothered to figure out the difference between a scam call from a scam number and a scam call from a genuine number that scammers have spoofed. This has created problems with people blocking genuine numbers. Some of the posts on this 4 page feed are most enlightening. |

Anyone needing to check this number should urgently read through the last page or 2 of posts. Remember, you can't be conned by picking up a ringing phone and listening. After that, it's common sense. I have seen a lot of scam reports going against genuine business numbers on this site that just don't seem true. Some may not be fake and are genuine scam reports so be careful at all times. |

A GENUINE LLOYDS BANK GROUP NUMBER! NOT A SCAM NUMBER! DON’T BLOCK IT! DON’T IGNORE IT! BUT you can’t be certain who is actually calling. Scammers have spoofed (copied/cloned) all phone numbers used by all banks. If you get any contact from your bank, end the call, check to ensure your connection has cleared, then call your bank using the number on your bank card. Do not delay as the call could be genuine and there is a problem with your account requiring your attention. To stop criminals using spoofed bank numbers, contact your MP. Ask what Parliament is doing to force our phone industry to introduce USA Caller ID Authentication technology to prevent criminals using untraceable spoofed or fake UK numbers from calling. The UK parliament web site tells you how to contact your MP. |

I left a message on 28/9/2022 stating after recent firdt text from Lloyds my second text I received from a mobile 447723361922 which was showing on top of text which is a scam mobile , but I’ve since looked at my recent calls and that text was from a actual Lloyd fraud so long story short it is from fraud and saved me lot of money |

I phoned this number and it was genuine I had transactions stopped and new card being sent as old one cancelled . But I had a problem with number it came from as first text was from Lloyds second text to advice me to contact this mentioned number was from a mobile number which when I looked to see whether this was a scam number and 90% of people said it was? Although I’d checked my account and everything was as it should be I phone fraud department to make sure. It was but they. Couldn’t explain why I got correct fraud number from a scam mobile number ? Be careful as I’m so confused by it all if in doubt I now know you can call 159 on another phone to check if you are talking to a member from Lloyds bank. |

100%lloyds i understand peoples worrys around this the auto system only asks your date of birth the gose through the recent payments you made and you can say if you made them or not. if your worried puts you through to lloyds. Asked me to log in my phone app confirm how my name appears on the card what age i would be on my next birthday then confirmed the recent bills on the card. never asked me for anythin else just put me on hold whils they unblock the card in my case the website i was making a purchase from was tryin to charge me 3 times for the same thing so they blocked it which was great and saved me allot of problems when ia dvised iw as worried about the call the friendly women just advised me to call the number on the back of the card if i wanted too with you can as well |

I received 2 text messages supposedly from Lloyds, first to confirm recent activity quoting the last 4 digits of my card and saying they will decline future card payments if I don't respond. Then a minute later from +44 7480 788955 (so NOT Lloyds) about a transaction I didn't make, asking to reply YES or NO. The about 15 minutes later I got an automated call from this number saying they were the Lloyds Fraud team and press numbers to continue. I hung up and then rang Lloyds and they say there is nothing on my account other than transaction I know about - so beware. |

Spam call. This is not the number of Lloyds Fraud Prevention. I got 2 texts and then a call from this number which I sent to voicemail. The voicemail pronounced my name incorrectly. THIS IS A SCAM NUMBER. DO NOT ANSWER. DO NOT RETURN CALLS. If you are in doubt, go to the LLOYDS website. The Fraud number is compleyely different |
